ALCOHOL BY VOLUME 15º

PRODUCTION Yield of approximately 3,000 kilos per hectare.
66,040 75cl bottles and 761 magnums dedicated to this White Label.

HARVEST In mid-October. 2013 was characterised by a summer of not particularly high temperatures, which obliged us to keep production to a very low level; the number of clusters on the 90,000 vines did not exceed 3 per vine, less than a kilo per plant. Autumn arrived with rain and unseasonably warm days in early October, prompting a harvest carried out in 5 days. Only 3 out of every 10 clusters were used for wine, the rest were discarded in the course of the growing cycle and picking. Harvest 100% by hand by a team of 50 people. Crates of 10 kilos and transport to the winery at 3º C.

VINIFICATION Double table selection. Cold maceration of the must with the skins. Partial malolactic (10%) fermentation at low temperature in 225 new American oak barrels.

AGEING It was especially complex to have in our hands one of the most elegant wines of the winery going into production with new varieties previously not used such as Malbec and Grenache, finding the maximum expression and minimum loss of aromas with the new wood. Fine and extra fine grain French oak and fine grain American oak, dried for 36 months.Premium quality. Twelve months in new barrels.

PAIRING

  • Roasted, grilled or stewed red meat.

The Bosque de Matasnos (BMA) vineyard is situated at an altitude of 950m, which is said to be almost at the maximum limit for vine production in Spain.

The BMA White Label 2013 has only the best raw materials, selected first in the field and later through belt selection. Approximate average
yield of less than 3,000 kilos per hectare, mainly from old vines.

Color del vino

“Deep garnet colour, clean and bright.”

En nariz

“A really intense aroma, firstly with notes of ripe red fruit, plums, cherries… and hints of raspberries and blueberries.

Movement  of  the  wine  reveals  more  complex  aromas, such as spices, with hints of nutmeg, cloves and balsamic laurel, thanks to its ageing in French oak barrels. Also, in turn, appear caramel, coffee and tabacco.”

En boca

“Intense. The first impression is of the harmonious balance between acidity and tannins. The flavour proves to be big and complex and you can again appreciate the balance between the fruit and the spices and toasted notes produced by the ageing..

Firm  with  well‐structured  tannins  and  with  a  broad aftertaste evocative of the first aromatic impression.”
